Attention must be paid when installation the air spring

In design when using air spring, attention must be paid make sure there are no sharp edges will contact the flexible member air spring for the whole trip. This must be verified maximum inflation and zero pressure operation especially for the leaf and sleeves rolled leaf spring is the gap in menisci and piston supports the reduce surface pressure decreases. The structure of the industrial air spring element:

❶ screw bolt / Stud - Produced as a permanent part of the Cover Plate assembly for maximum strength and durability. It is used to attach the air spring to the vehicle’s suspension system.

❷ Combined link rod / Combo Stud – Used as the dual purpose of installing the air spring to the suspension system and providing the air inflation.

❸Nut / Blind Nut – As well a permanent part of the Cover Plate assembly. Provides an alternative to bolt installation system. It is inside defect within the iron plate

❹ Gas Hole / Air inlet / Air Fitting – Most usually 1/4 N.P.T. which provides the air entrance to the rubber bellows.

❺ Cover Plate - Curled up to more durable bellows design and the largest quality control in the factory. Allows 100% of the leak test before shipment.

❻Rubber Bellows - Air Bellows includes four layers of materials: an inner layer, two layer cord - reinforced fabrics, and a cover. Construction of a natural rubber provides – 65F functional properties.

❼ Bumper block / Buffer block - Solid rubber or engineering plastic device designed to prevent major damage to the vehicle or suspension in the event of a sudden loss of air pressure in the spring.

❽ Bottom Piston - Provides a low installation of air spring. To control the pressure in a changing under the load characteristics of spring.

❾ Piston Bolt - Connecting the piston to the bellows. Sometimes extensions as an additional vehicle suspension spring.

❿ Girdle Hoop / Girdle Ring - Molded wire-wound ring to provide lateral stability of the complex type spring bellows.
